We marked World Book Day last week. Some of the children came to our meet up dressed as a character from a book. There were diverse choices ranging from animals from “Wind In The Willows” to someone from a Lemony Snicket series, “Robin Hood” and “Children Of The New Forest”.
We had an anonymous book swap where people brought in books wrapped in paper to swap,
and then, of course, we read them. One story about a girl imagining a dress inspired a craft activity – making clothes out of newspaper.
Once our time in the hall was up we took advantage of the afternoon sun to play outdside, whetting our appetites for more outdoor adventures as we move into Spring.
