On the cusp of Autumn

It’s really feeling like summer is coming to an end now. There’s a chill in the air and the brambles are ripe. It’s been such a wonderful summer – so much sunshine making the adventures seem all the more twinkly in retrospect.

When we met in the Children’s Garden at the Botanics this week, the atmosphere was playful and joyful. Clusters of adults chatted and another new baby was introduced while children ran, hopped and skipped races and created a bus out of garden chairs.

The last of the year’s sweetpeas were sniffed and admired and the first of the conkers were collected.

My children didn’t want the day to end so were sad to leave but this rainbow cheered them on our way home.
