We had a wonderful afternoon at the RSPB nature reserve at Lochwinnoch today: bird spotting, wild flower identifying, pond dipping, playing in the mud and den making.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the reserve was beautiful and educational, and the children enjoyed themselves and got thoroughly muddy
When my little ones started to get tired, they sketched one of the wild flowers that we learned the name of today: a red campion.
Some regular twitching.
I would definitely like to return to Lochwinnoch sometime soon, maybe for one of their organised events.
