Over the last month the Glasgow Home Ed group has met each Wednesday, come rain, sleet or shine. Activities have included:
- January 9th – ‘Tracks, Trails and Dinosaur Tales’ ~ Workshop at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (link).
- January 16th – ‘Mini me’ ~ Workshop about portraiture at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA).
- January 23rd – Robert Burns (ish) themed meet-up at the Glasshouse, Queen’s Park, Glasgow.
Future activities planned for the coming weeks will include meeting, playing, doing and making at numerous varied places, including:
- Woodlands Gardens ~ city allotment garden.
- Pollock Park, Glasgow and the Burrell Collection ~ huge, rambling country park (with cows) with a super, internationally significant art and artefact collection in the Burrell.
- Glasgow Green ~ large city park with excellent museum (The People’s Palace, no less, which tells a/ the social history of the city) and heavy horses which are exercised in the park.
- Scotland Street School Museum ~ Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh the museum (once an actual school) exhibits the history of education in Scotland.
- Chatelherault Country Park ~ adventure play areas and 500 acres of historic gardens.
